FUEL HEATING


Diesel-powered vehicles sometimes experience wax crystal formation that clogs the fuel filter at low ambient temperatures. This may cause loss of fuel flow and power. Preheating of incoming diesel fuel before it reaches the filter solves the problem. Adiator develops and manufactures customized fuel pre-heaters for this purpose.

Adiator also manufactures PTC heaters for Otto engines. And manifold-mounted pre-heaters for single-point injected engines, mainly as spare parts. Heating of the air/fuel mixture is essential for even fuel distribution — the key to fuel economy, emission control and drivability in first generation emission-controlled engines. Cars with non-functioning heaters may fail emission tests.
